Flying with Singapore Airlines

- Online check-in for all Singapore Airlines flights opens 48 hours before the scheduled departure and closes 2 hours before take-off.

Cabin luggage allowance
- The dimensions of each item of cabin luggage carried onto a Singapore Airlines flight may not exceed 115cm.
- The maximum weight for cabin luggage items is 7kg.
- Passengers are entitled to 1 item of cabin luggage. This can be increased to 2 pieces during the booking process. In addition to the free cabin baggage allowance, passengers may carry on board 1 of the following articles: ladies handbag, laptop bag, camera bag, overcoat, umbrella, walking stick, a pair of crutches, small amount of Duty-Free goods (where permitted) or infant food and amenities if the infant is also travelling. The total weight of these additional items should not exceed 6kg
Checked baggage allowance
- The maximum permitted size of checked baggage for all flights operated by Singapore Airlines must not exceed 158cm. This includes wheels, handles and external pockets.
- The standard maximum check baggage weight for all Singapore Airlines passengers is 30kg though this can be increased to 50kg (spread across more than 1 single item) for a fee. For flights to and from Brazil, the maximum weight limit is 32kg, while the maximum weight limit for flights to the USA is 23kg. On all flights operated by the airline, no one single item of checked baggage can weigh more than 32kg.
- Passengers flying with Singapore Airlines are entitled to 1 item of checked baggage. Additional baggage allowances can be purchased during the booking process. Passengers may check 2 items of baggage for flights to Brazil and the USA.
- Checked baggage that exceeds the free baggage allowance size and/or weight limitations will be subject to an excess charge. Excess baggage charges will be calculated according to weight for all destinations.
